DOV BEREL’S HEADSTONE

Dov Berel accomplished his goal of going to, living and dying in Israel.  He is buried in the Hadera cemetery along with many other members of the Ajzenberg family.

His gravestone, pictured below is inscribed as follows:

HERE IS BURIED
A MAN OF DISTINGUISHED CHARACTER
THE REB, DOV
SON OF REB MORDECHAI YITZHAK,
MAY HIS MEMORY BE A BLESSING
EISENBERG
 HE PASSED ON TO HIS EVERLASTING LIFE
ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHESHVAN ’98*
 MAY HIS SOUL BE BOUND UP IN THE BONDS
OF EVERLASTING LIFE

* CHESHVAN ’98 = the year 5698 = October 6, 1937 (Wednesday)
